Frank Boehly, President of the French National Leather Council, has been elected Chairman of SIC SA, the commercial company that develops the trade and activities of French leather companies.

SIC SA organises specialist leather trade fairs throughout the world, and its aim is to allow French leather professionals to keep pace with the developments of the international market, particularly by participating in the key shows in the sector in order to make new contacts and develop trade and new activities.

For more than 50 years, SIC SA organised the Semaine Internationale du Cuir (International Leather Week), the leading show for the profession and then, from 2001, the Cuir A Paris show, renamed Premiere Vision Leather since it was bought by Première Vision SA in 2014.

An agreement was signed in 1993 between SIC SA and UBM Asia, the leader in trade show organisation in Asia. This joint venture allows French leather companies to attend the largest business gatherings in Asia: the APLF MM&T show (30 March – 1 April 2016 in Hong Kong), Fashion Access (7 - 9 October 2015/ 30 March - 1 April 2016 in Hong Kong) and ACLE (31 August - 2 September 2015 in Shanghai).
